The Lawyer Referral & Information Service staff member will give you the name and phone number of an attorney. When you call the attorney to schedule a meeting, please tell him or her that you were referred by the State Bar of Michigan.

Your first 30 minutes of legal consultation will cost you no more than $20. After the initial half-hour, it is up to you and the attorney to negotiate fees if you decide to authorize the attorney to take action on your behalf.
